Hemcroft started with a simple question: why does premium merino have to cost so much? After years in the apparel industry, I knew there was a better way. Merino wool just works—it regulates temperature, resists odor, and performs across multiple days. The markup didn't make sense.
I partnered with my buddy, a skilled visual creative and longtime friend. We've been teammates before, and our skills complement each other naturally. After years in the corporate world, I wanted to build something on my own terms—with people I trust.
We're proud to keep production in the EU. It's about quality control, fair working conditions, and supporting our local economy. As backpackers, travelers, and adventurers, we've tested plenty of gear in the field. Hemcroft is our answer: approachable premium merino, built to last, priced honestly. No gimmicks, no discounts—just gear that earns its place in your pack.

Why Merino
Merino wool does the job in every category that matters for multi-day use—odor control, temperature regulation, moisture management. I tested it across different brands and conditions. It works, it's natural, and it's renewable. Simple as that.
Small-Batch, EU Production
We produce in Latvia, EU. Small batches mean no waste and better quality control—critical when you don't have a war chest of investor funds behind you. It costs more to manufacture here, but transparency and QC are non-negotiable. You're paying for what you should pay for: materials, craftsmanship, and fair wages. Not brand hype, not Series B funding, not certifications that only matter to investors.
